Part of the intent of #MeowCat is to make blogging easy to do. Often I've read something on the net, and thought of blogging about it, but not done so because #Wordpress is a hassle to use. MeowCat doesn't feel like that; it feels -- to me at least -- light, quick, easy, simple, unemcumbered, a lithe dancer compared to Wordpress's lumbering clumsy elephant.
Why is Wordpress a hassle? When I go to my Wordpress blog and click on new post, the page takes 5 to 20 seconds to come up, because it's emcumbered with tons of JavaScript.
Once the page has appeared, there are loads of buttons and controls, in addition to the actual area for writing the page.
MeowCat isn't like that. The intention is that it will be really quick to dash off a small, single-sentence post, and at the same time it will still have enough features for writing longer essays.
what is all that special / different about #meowcat ?
There's no reason why #MeowCat couldn't do that as well, of course.
I just changed #MeowCat to use the Lato font now, instewad of whatever the browser defaults to.
Do you like the changes?
One thing I'll be working on is features to make #MeowCat a really good blogging platform. These will incolude automatically pushing MeowCat messages out to facebook, twitter and other platforms.
BTW you can also say #Rugby League.
Have you tried the "main" skin as well? (Go to settings and select "main" after "Skin:")
